The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has released the official notification for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December-2022 / June-2023. This examination aims to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian Universities, provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the UGC. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by CSIR to conduct this exam on their behalf. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam online via the official website, and they are advised to keep a close eye on the website for updates on the application process, exam dates, and other important information. The NTA will issue admit cards to all eligible candidates, which they can download from the official website prior to the exam.

Eligibility Criteria of CSIR UGC NET Exam
Nationality
INDIAN
Age Limit
JRF: Maximum 28 years as on 01/07/2022* {upper age limit may be relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/Third gender/Persons with Disability (PwD)/female applicants and 03 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants}.
Lectureship (LS)/ Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.
Educational Qualification for CSIR UGC NET JRF
M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B. Tech/ B. Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% (without rounding off) marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and 50% (without rounding off) for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates.
B.Sc. (Hons.) or equivalent degree holders or students enrolled in Integrated MS-PhD program with at least 55%^ (without rounding off) marks for General (UR)/General-EWS; 50%^ (without rounding off) marks for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are also eligible to apply.
B.E./ B.S./ B.Tech./ B.Pharma/ MBBS final year/result awaited candidates are eligible to apply for fellowship only. These candidates will not be eligible for Lectureship/Assistant professor. B.Sc. (Hons.) final year/Result awaited candidates are not eligible to apply.
